Respite/Vacation Care
Caregivers who need respite from the day-to-day responsibilities of caring for a loved one are invited to consider a Respite/Vacation Care program. Respite Care is short-term residency for individuals whose primary at-home caregivers need a little time off from the responsibility of providing full-time care to an older adult. Respite/Vacation Care provides such care on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis.
During a Respite/Vacation Care stay, short-term residents receive the same high level of care as other residents, in a safe and secure environment. The staff, including medical directors, physician specialists such as podiatrists and optometrists, nurses, dietitians, therapists and other professionals work together to provide any care and services that may be needed throughout an individual’s stay. Short-term residents share the same amenities, services and programs that full-time residents enjoy, including short trips, activities, social outings and entertainment.
‘Round the clock security and a 24-hour emergency call system add to the services offered throughout a Respite/Vacation Care stay.
